Situated on the tranquil shores of Norris Reservoir in Andersonville, Tennessee, Loyston Point Campground is a nature lover’s paradise, offering a blend of stunning landscapes and modern amenities. The campground provides a serene escape into the heart of the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, where visitors can immerse themselves in outdoor activities while enjoying beautiful views of the surrounding forest and the crystal-clear waters of Norris Lake.
Amenities and Features
- Campsites: The campground features a total of 64 campsites, of which 59 come equipped with electric hookups. Each site is designed for comfort and convenience, with most offering remarkable lake views and a spacious grassy area.
- Restroom Facilities: Essential restroom facilities are available, including heated showers and flush toilets, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests. A fill and dump station is also provided for RV travelers.
- Cabins: Loyston Point Campground offers three furnished one-bedroom cabins, each accommodating up to five guests. These cabins feature a kitchenette with a small refrigerator, microwave, TV, and a combination of bunk beds, a queen bed, and a trundle single bed. Please note that the cabins are not ADA accessible and do not have bathrooms; however, restroom facilities are nearby.
- Pet-Friendly Options: Enjoy your stay with your furry friends as the campground allows pets in specific cabins (Cabin #3 is pet friendly, while Cabins #1 and #2 do not permit pets). Pets must be leashed and picked up after.
- Convenience Store: A store on-site offers basic supplies and local products for campers, making it easy to stock up on essentials without leaving the campground.
- Recreational Opportunities: With a focus on outdoor adventures, the campground provides excellent fishing spots, bird watching areas, and opportunities for wildlife watching. Visitors can also rent kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, and paddle boats at the store, perfect for exploring the pristine waters of Norris Reservoir.

A two-night minimum stay is required, and visitors should plan their check-in (3:00 PM) and check-out times (11:00 AM) accordingly. Campers must be 18 years or older to reserve a campsite and 21 years or older for cabin rentals.
Season and Accessibility
Loyston Point Campground operates from March 15 to November 15, offering seasonal fun in a picturesque setting. The campground does not currently have EV charging capabilities, but ongoing efforts towards sustainability and environmental protection are a priority.
Visitor Guidelines
To ensure a pleasant stay for all, the campground maintains a set of guidelines:
- No alcohol or fireworks permitted on TVA property.
- Campfires must be contained within designated fire rings and follow safety regulations.
- Quiet hours run from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM to maintain a peaceful environment for all campers.
- Visitors must register at the office/store and are welcome from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
