Most free campsites do not have water pipes. Some sites have drinking water supplied in limited amounts, and visitors are advised to arrive with enough water. The source notes that water availability varies by site and should be checked in each campsite’s information box.

At free campsites, only a small number have sawdust toilets or regular toilets, and most have no toilets at all.

Dogs are allowed inside free campsites only, as long as they are kept on a leash and have a muzzle.
