Location & Access

Happy Meadows is conveniently located near the Eleven Mile Reservoir and Eleven Mile Canyon, making it an ideal spot for fishing, tubing, and hiking. Visitors can easily access the campground by following County Road 112 after turning off US-24 at Lake George. The high elevation setting provides a stunning backdrop, but guests are advised to travel cautiously from lower elevations.

Campsite Features

The campground encompasses a variety of individual non-electric campsites, each designed to enhance your outdoor experience:

Seven reservable RV campsites with picnic tables and campfire rings.
Nearby water source: drinking water pump.
Vault toilets available for convenience.
Maximum of two vehicles allowed per site, with a maximum capacity of 8 people.
First-come, first-served options become available 5 days before arrival if not reserved.

Important Guidelines

For a safe and enjoyable experience, please adhere to the following guidelines:

ATVs and off-road vehicles are prohibited within the campground.
Leave No Trace: Guests are required to pack out all garbage and personal items. Come prepared with garbage bags.
Please keep dogs leashed or tethered at all times.
Be bear aware: Secure food in approved containers and remove all food after eating.
Firewood is available for purchase on-site to prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms.

Reservations & Cancellations

Reservations can be made up to 5 days in advance, and have the following policies:

Cancellation up to 2 days before reservation incurs a $10 cancellation fee.
No-shows will incur a $20 service fee and forfeit the first night’s rate.
Refunds for cancellations will be processed according to the payment method used.
