With a rich history dating back to its designation as one of the first Forest Service campgrounds, Davenport combines modern amenities with vintage charm. Rebuilt in 2010 to reflect its original 1920s design, it features Adirondack shelters and rustic log picnic tables, adding to its historic character.

Campground Features

• Tent-Only Sites: Davenport Campground is designated for tent camping only, accommodating no RVs or pop-up trailers. It offers 12 campsites, including 5 first-come, first-served sites and 7 reservable sites.
• Walk-In Accessibility: Most campsites are accessible only by short walking trails, enhancing your camping experience among nature.
• Basic Amenities: Each campsite is furnished with a picnic table, campfire ring, and grill. Accessible vault toilets and trash collection are also provided for convenience.
• High Elevation: The campground rests at an elevation of 8,500 feet in a grassy meadow surrounded by aspen and spruce trees, creating a tranquil atmosphere.

• Bears and Wildlife: Be bear aware; keep food stored safely and remove any leftover food from the area.
• Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made less than 2 days before your arrival incur a $10 service fee.
