The land features over 300 documented grinding holes, marking its historical significance. Established in 1961, Lost Lake was initially a fishing spot and gradually evolved into a thriving recreational area with a rich cultural background. In the late 1930s, the name “Lost Lake” emerged due to a gravel pit created for the construction of Friant Dam, where a significant amount of gold was even discovered.

    Camping Facilities

    • Campsites: Lost Lake offers 37 campsites equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings, and easy access to restrooms and water. Each site can accommodate vehicles up to 34 feet in length.
    • Accessibility: Two ADA-compliant campsites are available, ensuring accessibility for all visitors.
    • Reservation Policy: Reservations are required for group campsites, while single campsites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
