Nestled within the expansive beauty of Prince William Forest Park in Virginia, Oak Ridge Campground invites outdoor enthusiasts to experience nature at its finest. Offering a tranquil setting surrounded by lush forests, this campground operates from March to November, providing the perfect backdrop for camping, hiking, and exploring.

Campground Features

Oak Ridge Campground features two main loops for campers, each offering distinctive site layouts:

• A Loop: Contains 42 sites (A07, A09, A11, A12, A13, A16, A18, A20, A22, A23, A25, A26, A27, A28, A30, A32, A33, A34, A35, A36, A38, A40, and A42).
• B Loop: Comprises 25 sites (B01, B04, B07, B09, B12, B13, B16, B18, B19, B22, and B23).

Each campsite is equipped with essential amenities, ensuring a comfortable outdoor experience:

• Picnic table for family meals and socializing.
• Paved parking pad for easy access.
• Grill for cooking up delicious meals.
• Lantern post for evening illumination.

Amenities & Accessibility

Restroom facilities are available in both loops, featuring sinks, flush toilets, and showers in the B Loop. The restroom facilities are designed to be accessible, providing convenience for all campers. For those requiring additional accommodations, designated sites with accessible parking pads, picnic tables, and fire grills are available.

Camping Guidelines

Campers can find solitude and community here, with a maximum of six people or three tents allowed per site. Note that group camping is not permitted at Oak Ridge Campground. The campground enforces a 14-day stay limit per calendar year to ensure that many guests can enjoy this beautiful area.

Activities and Programs

During the summer weekends, campers can participate in evening campfire talks at the centrally located amphitheater—a fantastic opportunity to learn about the surrounding environment and local wildlife. Check bulletin boards near restrooms for the latest schedules.

Reservations & Fees

Reservations are required from March to November and can be made through the online reservation system, ensuring that your site is secured for your visit. The camping fees are as follows:

• $13 per night for Senior/Access pass holders.
• $26 per night for standard reservations.

A park entrance fee is also required in addition to camping fees. Be sure to reserve your spot early, especially during peak seasons, to enjoy all that Oak Ridge Campground has to offer.
