The campground is designed exclusively for tent camping, with a restriction on RVs or trailers exceeding 18 feet in length.

The campground borders a three-acre lake, where visitors can engage in fishing, with five accessible fishing docks available for convenience. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout, making it a popular spot for anglers.
Recreation Opportunities
For those looking to explore the beauty of the Oregon wilderness, a half-mile loop trail around Hebo Lake offers an excellent hiking experience. Additionally, the nearby Pioneer – Indian Trail provides more opportunities for outdoor adventure. For group activities, a historic picnic shelter built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1937 (restored in 2016) is available for day use, accommodating groups of up to 25 people.
Essential Information
It’s vital to note that Hebo Lake Campground does not provide drinking water, so be sure to bring your own supply. Vault toilets are available on-site for restroom needs. The campground is cashless; payments must be made in advance either through the recreation.gov app or online before you arrive, given the limited services at the campground.
Getting Here
Accessing the campground is straightforward. From Hebo, Oregon, start at the intersection of Highway 101 and Highway 22 and travel 1/4 mile south on Highway 22. You will turn left onto Forest Service Road 14 and proceed east for 4.5 miles. The entrance to the campground will be on your right.
