About QFRA

At Quemahoning Family Recreation Area, we pride ourselves on providing a family-friendly environment with ample amenities to enhance your camping experience. All camping sites come equipped with a firm packed pad, a fire-ring, a picnic table, and access to 110V / 30 amp electric service. For those needing more power, sites 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 16, 27, and 28 also offer 50 amp service. We ensure convenient access to a sewage dump, water supply, and nearby shower facilities.

Amenities

• Rustic Cabins: Hand-built timber frame cabins provide a unique blend of security and adventure. Each cabin can accommodate up to 4 guests with two sets of bunk beds, a picnic table, a fire ring, and parking for two vehicles. Electricity is provided, but please note that there is no plumbing in the cabins.
• RV Camping: With 28 designated RV sites, campers can enjoy spacious accommodations for pop-up campers, fifth-wheel trailers, travel trailers, and motor-homes. All sites feature essential connections and are well-maintained.
• Tent Camping: Choose from over 30 picturesque tent sites. Whether you prefer being surrounded by trees or setting up near the lake with access for small boats, you’re sure to find the perfect spot. All tent sites are within a short walking distance to the shower house and water supply.
• Recreation Areas: Enjoy a variety of activities such as a swim beach, nature trails for hiking, a fishing pier, and playgrounds for children, as well as sports fields for more active pursuits.

Camping Policies and Fees

QFRA is designed for families seeking a nature retreat with a few comfort-related amenities. Each campsite has a minimum stay requirement of two nights and a maximum of seven nights. All guests must acquire a day pass and vacate their sites by 9 PM. The fees vary based on the type of accommodation:

• RV Sites: Weekdays start from $23/night; weekends from $25/night for basic services, scaling up according to site amenities.
• Tent Campsites: Similar pricing applies for tent campers, with numerous options available to suit your preferences.

Check-in time for cabins is at 2 PM, and check-out is at 10 AM. Do remember to bring your own bedding for cabin stays, as there is no maid service available on-site.
