Formerly known as “Cherokee Beach” and “Cherokee Kamper Village,” this family-oriented campground has a rich history of welcoming guests for decades, turning their visits into cherished memories. Bathhouse: Separate facilities for men and women, providing clean showers and toilets for your convenience.
Laundry Facilities: Multiple washers and dryers are available for campers needing to catch up on laundry, with a cozy waiting area equipped with a foosball table and toys for children.

Fishing: Guests can fish from the bank at our private 16-acre lake without the need for an Alabama fishing license.

Rates

Cherokee Campground offers flexible rates to accommodate every type of guest:

Daily Rate: $42 + tax for stays of 1-6 days.
Weekly Rate: $210 + tax for longer visits.
Monthly Rate: $540 + tax – an excellent option for those needing a longer stay.
Special Discounts: Discounts available for military personnel and first responders as a way to honor their service.

Location

Located conveniently off Highway 93, Cherokee Campground is easily accessible for travelers. For the best directions from your starting point, we recommend following our specific driving instructions rather than relying solely on GPS systems, which may not provide the most direct route.

Exploring the Campground

Though the lake is no longer open for swimming, its presence provides a beautiful backdrop for fishing, picnicking, and simply enjoying the outdoors. Each camping site is uniquely situated to offer an intimate connection with nature and a chance to unwind. The peaceful ambiance of the campground allows guests to relax and recharge away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Campground Rules & Regulations

To ensure that all guests have a comfortable and enjoyable experience, Cherokee Campground adheres to a set of rules and regulations, which include:

Quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM to maintain a peaceful environment.
No tent or primitive camping allowed; sites accommodate RVs and campers only.
Fishing is limited to designated areas and must respect posted “No Trespassing” zones.
All guests must register with the office and are responsible for their visitors.
Leashing of pets is mandatory to maintain a safe and clean campground.
